Doane College Welcomes U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum Speaker

Peter Fredlake, coordinator of the Museum Teacher Fellowship program within the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, will speak at Doane Friday, Nov. 2 as part of the Nebraska State Council for the Social Studies fall conference.

Fredlake's presentation "Holocaust: Echoes and Reflections" begins at 6:45 p.m. in Heckman Auditorium, Communications Center.

Fredlake is a 30-year scholar and teacher of the Holocaust. In 1997, he was selected for the Washington D.C. museum's Mandel Teacher Fellowship Program, and in 2005 became coordinator of the museum's Teacher Fellowship Program.

His lecture is free and open to the public.

It highlights the Nov. 2-3 conference for social studies educators. This is the first time Doane has been a host for the statewide event.
