Doane Christmas Festival Nears

The Doane College Music department will spread holiday cheer through Doane's annual Christmas Festival Concert. The public is invited to sit back, listen and enjoy the quiet peacefulness of the holiday season.

The festival features the Doane choirs under the direction of Dr. Kurt Runestad and Kathy Ohlman; Doane Concert Band and Symphonic Wind Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Jay Gilbert and Kathy Dalby; the Doane String Ensemble directed by Tracy Sands; and Dianne Ferguson, piano.

The concerts are scheduled for Saturday, December 6 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, December 7, beginning at 3 p.m. in Heckman Auditorium on the Crete campus.

A holiday dinner with the choice of Stuffed Pork Chop, Cordon Bleu, or a Vegetarian meal precedes the December 6 performance beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the South Dining Room of Perry Campus Center.

Tickets for both events are available through Doane's Faculty Office at 402.826.8660. The dinner cost is $13 per ticket. Concert tickets are $5.
