Broncos Rally in Top 25 Battle

Hastings College and Doane College battled back and forth all night long but the Broncos had just a little too much for the Tigers as they were victorious 3-1 (30-26, 30-24, 26-30, 30-25).

The Broncos used an aggressive serving game to keep the Tigers off balance.  In a match that featured a lot of offense, both teams had 63 kills.

Allison Weaver led the way for Doane with a game-high 22 kills.  Jessy Livers added 14 kills and Kari Hochstein had 13 kills, 10 in the last two games.

Doane collected six ace serves, three coming from Livers.

Rachel Hagerman posted 57 assists for the Tigers who fell to 21-6 on the season and 8-3 in the GPAC.

Doane has a key weekend stretch ahead as they travel to Dordt College (7-4 in the GPAC) on Friday and Briar Cliff (7-2 in the GPAC) on Saturday.  This weekend could go a long way in helping the Tigers get closer to locking up a first round home game for the GPAC tournament.
