Bickley Named to GPAC Defensive Honor

(Sioux City, Iowa) - The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following men's soccer players-of-the-week for September 6 -September 12, 2010. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2010-2011 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men's Soccer Players-of-the-Week

Men's Defense- Matt Bickley, Doane - Keeper
Doane keeper Matt Bickley is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Bickley, a freshman from Overland Park, Kansas, recorded 11 saves on the week while allowing just one goal per game. He held William Jewell to a lone goal after they entered the game averaging nearly five goals a contest. The Tigers are 2-3 this fall.

Men's Offense- Nate Polak, Hastings - Forward
Hastings forward Nate Polak is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Polak, a junior from Lincoln, Nebraska, scored a hat-trick in a 7-1 win over Fresno Pacific for the Broncos. Hastings went 3-0 on the week, including a win over #24 Baker 1-0, and are now 4-0 on the season.
