Let's DU Lunch - Omaha!



The Doane Alumni Association invites you to join us for "Let's DU Lunch," a professional speaker series that lets you hear firsthand from Doane and local leaders who make our community great. The May session in Omaha will feature Dr. Amanda Renshaw McKinney '98 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center as we talk about Doane's historical connection with UNMC and also the launch of the new DoaneX online educational platform that provides continuing education credits in programs like Lifestyle Medicine and Healthcare Administration.

amanda mckinney.png Special Guest Speaker: Dr. Amanda Renshaw McKinney '98 
Amanda McKinney is a physician with a passion for Lifestyle Medicine and environmental issues who recognizes the intimate relationship between our food and the health of both humans and the planet. She is both a Fellow and a member of the Board of Directors of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. Amanda developed the first set of online edX classes covering Lifestyle Medicine, which involves the therapeutic use of lifestyle and diet in the prevention and treatment of lifestyle-related chronic disease. She is also the Director of Doane University's Institute for Human and Planetary Health (IHPH). She founded the IHPH to improve human health by transforming medical education and healthcare delivery and creating healthy, resilient communities. Creating a culture of healthy food, grown sustainably, will have a positive impact on human and planetary health.
