Ph.D. in Engineering (Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering), University of Nebraska-Lincoln, 2011

Areas of Interest:

    Courses Taught:
Introductory Physics I & II, General Physics I & II, Engineering Statics, Engineering Thermodynamics,  Fundamentals of Fluid Mechanics, Foundations of Environmental Engineering, Senior Engineering Design I with Engineering Project Management, Design and Analysis of Energy Systems, Senior Engineering Design II.
  Research Interests:

My research interests lie at the intersection of fundamental science and applied engineering—research rooted in physics, chemistry, and biology that can be transformed into real-world solutions. I have R&D experience within academia and industry, as well as several start-ups focusing on technology commercialization.

Some examples of my projects are:

  • PCR thermocycler instrument and kits for rapid DNA analysis
  • Thermal modulation hardware for gas chromatography
  • Adjuvant technology for increased nutrient uptake in crops
  • Fluidized Bed Reactor for bioremediation of water (senior design)
  • Solar-powered aeration system for improving lake water quality (senior design)
