The Directors of the Hansen Leadership Program advise 40+ students in the following student leadership roles on campus:

Doane Leadership Educators

Doane Serve Site Leaders

Doane Serve Site Leaders connect Doane students to service opportunities on campus and in the community. Doane Serves site leaders enhance their peers' educational experience and help them develop into caring citizens. Site Leaders coordinate the blood drive, student food pantry, community dinners, community food distributions, and alternative breaks, and more. Direction Mentors The Direction Mentors support 40 first-year Directions students through their first year at Doane. Each Directions Mentor meets weekly with 2 Directions students to support them through their transition to college, discuss the content from their leadership coursework, and help them find opportunities to use their leadership skills at Doane.

Relay For Life Executive Committee Chairs

Doane University/Saline County Relay For Life is one of the largest events of the year on Doane's campus. Executive Committee Chairs work throughout the year to plan this major fundraising and recognition event to support cancer research through the American Cancer Society. Doane was one of the first college campuses in the nation to host a Relay For Life Event. Since then Doane has made a name for itself nationally, earning the #1 spot in funds raised per capita for colleges and universities with fewer than 4,000 students.

Applications for these student leadership positions open each spring semester. For more information, contact Nick Knopik (nick.knopik@doane.edu).
