Testing and Exams Services

The Academic Support Center is committed to helping our students succeed throughout their educational experience here at Doane University. One of the ways we do this is by offering a variety of testing services for students in the private testing room within our office.

For more information, please contact:

This service is only for students who are enrolled at Doane University.

Exam Analysis

Students who seek to improve their performance on course exams may request an exam analysis. This tool enables students to clearly see why errors were made and to develop a study plan for the next test.

Proctoring Services

Sometimes circumstances prohibit students from being able to take exams within their allotted class time. The Academic Support Center can work with professors and students to create an alternate testing time for the student with the professor's permission.

Math Placement Exam

Students may opt to take a math placement exam in order to meet the prerequisite requirement for Doane’s introductory math course, to enroll in accredited coursework. Students should speak to their advisor for more information about the exam.

Once a student decides to take the exam, contact the Academic Support Center to obtain a copy of the practice exam, and schedule a time for the placement exam.

Please note: The test is only administered, one time, per student.

The Counselor Preparation Comprehensive Examination is required as part of the Masters of Arts in Counseling curriculum at Donae University’s College of Professional Studies.

If a student wishes to take this exam, they must notify a staff member of the Academic Support Center within the first week of the term, as a student must schedule the exam 30 days prior to taking it.The CPCE exam is scheduled to take place during the 5th and 6th week of each term.

Preparation for Graduate/Professional School Entry Exams

The ASC staff conducts workshops to train students who are preparing for the Graduate Record Exam (GRE). ndividual or small-group tutorial sessions are offered to students who are preparing to take the Pre-Professional Sklls Test (PPST) or the CMEE, for entry into the teacher education program.
