What advice do you have for students?
Stay focused and work hard! In order for you to be successful in your classes, please give your complete attention to the course material as well as put in diligent effort to complete the required assignments on time. That said, if you need help, reach out! If you have any questions or concerns, please do not be afraid to contact your professors and staff members for guidance and to point you in the right direction.
What is one of your favorite quotes?
"Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you'll start having positive results." This quote is by Mark Twain. While it basically speaks for itself, it's important to note that the underlying point is to have a positive mindset. I have lived this most of my life without realizing it until just recently.
What is one piece of career advice you can offer?
Research thoroughly! Before deciding on your career path, you need to understand what you are getting into in terms of workload, compensation, time commitment, and energy. Once you have decided on your career path, you need to put your heart and soul into it! You can achieve this by not only working hard, but also being patient, listening to what others are saying closely, and showcasing some compassion.
