Frank & Marion Taylor Rocky Mountain Alumni Scholarship

The Rocky Mountain Alumni Chapter Scholarship was established by alumni and friends of Doane University from the Rocky Mountain area to assist students who wish to attend Doane University in pursuit of an outstanding college education. 

The RMAC will award (2) one-time scholarships in the amount of $1,400. These scholarships will be paid directly to Doane University and credited to the recipients' account. Only students that have applied and been admitted to Doane University are eligible to apply. Strong consideration is given to students who demonstrate high academic performance, possess excellent leadership potential, show strong career direction, and are outstanding citizens in their communities. A submitted Housing Deposit and how far along an applicant is in their final college decision will also be considered.  

The deadline to apply for this scholarship is Tuesday, March 23, 2021.

Applicants for the Rocky Mountain Alumni Scholarship must:

  • Apply and be accepted for admission to Doane University.  If you have yet to be admitted, please submit a transcript and ACT or SAT score with your application.
  • Achieve a minimum score of 21 on the ACT or 980 on the SAT and/or a 3.0 GPA.
  • Submit a 500-word essay.
  • Participate in a 15-20 minute Zoom video conference interview with the RMAC Scholarship Committee on Sunday March 28, 2021. You will be contacted and have an opportunity to select your interview time slot once your application has been received. Contact if alternative interview arrangements need to be made. 
  • Deadline to apply: Tuesday March 23, 2021. (Midnight MST)

Scholarship applications will be reviewed by a committee which includes The Rocky Mountain Alumni Chapter and Office of Financial Aid. The scholarship recipient will be notified by April 7, 2021.
