Financing Your Education

Education is one of the most important, and possibly the first, big investment of your life. Spend some time researching scholarships as they can be a big factor in financing your years at college.

Your academic scholarship amount and GPA maintenance requirements are tied to the semester you started at Doane.
Aid Award Eligibility Process Renewability / Repayment
Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program $5,000 up to $17,500

Loan forgiveness for individuals who teach five consecutive years and meet other criteria.

Travel Scholarship $1,000

Available to all juniors and seniors.

You will select your trip from a listing of approved trips during the May interterm. 

Available for up to $1,000.

The Travel Scholarship can be applied to one or two eligible trips.

The Travel Scholarship is optional, but highly encouraged.

Van Hoy Scholarship Up to $48,000 ($12,000/yr for four years) Admitted students are automatically eligible with a minimum 20 ACT and 3.0 GPA.

Students who meet the nomination criteria should apply to Doane University.

Renewable for up to eight semesters if the student retains good academic standing.

Visit Grant Up to $1,000 renewable for four years while at Doane.

Awarded to admitted applicants who complete an official on-campus visit during their senior year.

Yankton College Post-Graduate Scholarship $1,000
