Grand Island Community Foundation

The Grand Island Community Foundation manages over 60 scholarship funds and awards more than 100 scholarships annually ranging from $250-$5,000.

Hansen Fellows $1,500 per year for students starting during the 2019-20 academic year.

Admitted students are automatically eligible with a minimum 3.5 GPA.

To be considered, students should:

Students who were employed at a Hy-Vee location after June 1, 2017 may apply for this scholarship.

Inclusive Doane Scholarship

All admitted, first-time, students who demonstrate experience advocating for diversity and equity are eligible to apply

Students must remain in good academic standing to renew this award for up to eight semesters.

Iraq and Afghanistan Service Grant Maximum Award $5,550

An undergraduate student whose parent or guardian was a member of the U.S. Armed Forces and died as a result of service performed in Iraq or Afghanistan after September 11, 2001.

To be eligible for this scholarship, candidates must have a cumulative
