Dan has enjoyed a 17 year distinguished career as a fundraising and planned giving officer for Doane University.  In his position as the Director of Planned Giving, he raises funds for the college and assists alumni and friends with their estate needs and life income gifts.  Prior to coming to Doane, Dan spent 9 years in the insurance and investment field and prior to that spent five years as a research analyst with the Nebraska Legislature. 

Married, to Allison, they have two daughters that are Doane University graduates - Alexandria ’04 and Meredith ‘06.  Both majored in biology and minored in chemistry.  Dan was a 1974 graduate of William Penn College with a Social Science Composite major.  He lettered in track & x-country and currently enjoys volunteering for both those Tiger teams. Dan has built several houses and barns utilizing salvage materials.  Presently he is chair person of the Village of Roca Planning commission.
