Earn Your Canvas Badges!

You can earn badges from the Growing with Canvas training course allowing you to share your new knowledge and skills with your Deans and colleagues.

If you have not started exploring Canvas and course development by working through the Growing with Canvas course, please log in to Doane’s Canvas platform to begin. Here is the URL to Doane’s Canvas login page: https://doane.instructure.com/. Your login credentials are the same as your Doane University login credentials.

As we have previously mentioned, with the upcoming January 21 & 22 training sessions now only one week away, we urge you to start working your way through the course so you can have a Canvas foundation for this training.

Be sure to bring any questions about Canvas and your laptop to the training sessions next week. Your questions will be answered by a Canvas trainer or Doane Instructional Designer. If you still have not signed up for one of the training sessions, please use the Events section above to sign up, and join us in this highly informative Canvas foundational training.

For those individuals who are attending the training in Crete on either of the two days, please note that the room has changed and is now in Art/Ed 236-242.

If you are unable to attend or still unsure if you should attend please reach out to your dean or Online Education Services’ Allison Hunt at allison.hunt@doane.edu.

General Information

Doane University is transitioning to a new learning management system (LMS). Soon, we will be replacing Blackboard with Canvas. Canvas will be available to all faculty to use with both ground and online courses.

Instructional Design services will be hosting training sessions beginning on January 21st and 22nd 2020 to prepare Doane faculty for this transition (please see events above). These sessions will cover a range of topics, including the use of Canvas from beginner to expert. These sessions will be recorded and made available for all faculty and staff through this page.

After the initial rollout, we will continue to host Canvas training sessions regularly, so please check back often for new opportunities.
