Absolutely Unprepared Improv Team is a student-run improv comedy troupe, and their purpose is to share smiles and work on individual and group comedic and improvisational skills through practice and performance.
Active Minds is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization that encourages students on campuses and in communities to raise awareness around mental health. Active Minds at Doane University is one of over 450 chapters in the United States. The goal of this organization is to raise awareness on mental health issues that so commonly affect students on college campuses, such as depression, eating disorders, PTSD, etc. We aim to help remove the stigma associated with mental health through events and conversations.
AIGA is a student group to get students involved in design, and learn the way the design field operates. Programming revolves around learning different aspects of design, as well as helping other students to learn about professional practices.
Beta Beta Beta (Tri Beta) is an honor society for students, particularly undergraduates, dedicated to improving the understanding and appreciation of biological study and extending boundaries of human knowledge through scientific research.
Biochemistry Club prepares members for future careers in biology/chemistry careers through participating in community service activities, visiting pharmaceutical or research facilities, inviting speakers to discuss their occupation and other science related activities.
The Black Student Union is an organization assisting Black students to explore their journey and shape their identity while at Doane University.
Cardinal Key, a national honor society, acts as a service organization to the University and community and recognizes the achievements of its members. Some of the society's projects include an annual fundraiser to purchase books for the library and fundraisers for various charitable organizations, including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Qualification for membership is determined at the end of the sophomore or junior year based on a cumulative grade point average, participation in various activities, and special honors.
