Asher has a B.A. in Philosophy from The University of Tulsa, and an MA and PhD in Comparative Literature from Washington University in St. Louis. His research focuses on the intersection of philosophy, religion, and aesthetics in British literature. He loves teaching across the literature curriculum, and is thrilled to be teaching courses like World Literature, Introduction to Literary Fiction, and the Writing Seminar here at Doane. Outside the classroom, he enjoys playing the cello, watching films, and trying to keep up with his four very active children.
