The Writing Center
Writing Center awaits in the stately brick confines of Gaylord Hall. Though nestled in a respite of ancient trees, sunlight tumbles audaciously through arched windows, soaking the center in its honeyed hue. Come here, papers in hand, to jointly navigate the painful, magnificent process christened with the deceptively simple title of writing.
Before a little help from The Writing Center, this page read: We have a Writing Place thingee. I think it’s over in that building thats brick or something. They help with papers or whatever.
DISCLAIMER: The previous message was exaggerated. Results are not typical. Actually, The Writing Center is for all students, from great writers who want to be better to anti-writers who want to be done. Staff and peer consultants help students think critically and grow as writers. They won’t edit, proofread or write, but they will spark ideas, interpret comments, diagnose trouble spots and provide feedback in the collaborative land of No-Bad-Ideas.
Adult Learners and Graduate Students
Your experiences and skills may not require a dedicated Writing Center, but have no fear - if you have questions or need a refresher there are people ready to help as well as online writing resources.
