Study Abroad & Travel Scholarship

Q:  Will a student be able to use their travel scholarship with a 3-year program?
A:  The 3-year program does not automatically eliminate the student’s ability to utilize the travel scholarship; however, if such an opportunity prohibits a student from staying on their 3-year program plan, it will affect the validity of the 3-year contract.

Q:  Will a student be able to participate in travel abroad activities and still participate in the 3-year program?
A:  The 3-year program does not eliminate study abroad from consideration; however, if a travel abroad opportunity prohibits a student from staying on their program plan, it will affect the validity of the 3-year contract.

Q:  Can a student participate in the Honors program while participating in the 3-year program?
A:  Yes, a student may participate in the Honors Program and the 3-year program.  While Honors students have a study abroad requirement, this can be satisfied during an extended summer session rather than a semester abroad.  Also, while Honors students are required to participate in a Senior Seminar, each student would be allowed the opportunity to complete this requirement during their third year.  The 3-year program requires planning which can include Honors participation.
