Theory of Music III
A continuation of the aural and written study of the common harmonic practices of the 18th and 19th centuries. Upon successful completion, students will be able to analyze, notate, and identify, both visually and aurally, augmented sixth chords. Neapolitan sixth chords, chromatic thirds, and 9th, 11th, and 13th chords. Prerequisite: Music 116 or permission, co-enrollment in Music 307. Offered spring term.
