I call Doane my second home because of all the friends I’ve made here, the small community and the welcoming environment.

Attending a college outside of her home state of Washington was always a goal of Jasmin’s. “When I came to Doane for a visit it was really small but the community was great. It felt like it was very personable and coming out of state I knew it was something I wanted, especially being far from home.” Even though Jasmin moved over 1,500 miles away, Doane quickly became her home away from home. “I call Doane my second home because of all the friends I’ve made here, the small community and the welcoming environment.”

Jasmin was not very involved in high school outside of sports, but realized that there are countless opportunities for students to be involved in at Doane. “There are so many things you can do on campus. You can be involved as you want to be.”
