“When work, commitment, and pleasure all become one and you reach that deep well where passion lives, nothing is impossible.” - Unknown
An average person spends 90,000 hours of their lifetime working.
Wouldn’t you like those hours to be happy ones? Of course! Susan wishes the same thing for you. Her entire career has been focused on supporting others to pursue their goals and dreams.
For over 25 years (yikes!) Susan has worked in various capacities in career services. This included owning and operating an employment agency for twelve years, and extensive consulting work around the United States, helping organizations understand how to better serve people who face various challenges to employment.
Susan currently serves as the Director of Career Development for the Lincoln, Grand Island, and Omaha campuses of Doane College. In that capacity, she supports students with such things as identifying their career path, increasing their networking skills, creating strategic career development plans to guide their job search, designing resumes, and preparing for interviews.
Susan is passionate about people, creative, and able to see the big picture and the small details and do something about both. She loves grant writing, career planning, event coordination, training and development, and all things related to career development.
