National Archives & Records Administration. The National Archives and Records Administration invites undergraduate and graduate level students to submit applications for voluntary internship programs.
National Endowment for the Arts. Undergraduate and graduate students and other volunteers who would like to gain work experience at the National Endowment for the Arts are invited to apply for NEA internships. Interns are accepted throughout the year in many of the Arts Endowment's offices on a non-paid basis. These internships offer a national overview of arts activities across the country. Interns work in assisting the staff with a variety of tasks related to the process of awarding federal grants. A variety of resources are available for participants of the NEA Internship Program: an extensive arts library and meetings of advisory panels and the National Council on the Arts.

The Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program was established by executive order in 1977 to attract to the federal service outstanding men and women from a variety of academic disciplines and career paths who have a clear interest in, and commitment to, excellence in the leadership and management of public policies and programs. By drawing graduate students from diverse social and cultural backgrounds, the PMF Program provides a continued source of trained men and women to meet the future challenges of public service.
