Sunday, October 6
2-5 p.m.  Welcome to the Jungle!  (Lincoln Children’s Zoo, Lincoln) Join us where the wild things are at the Lincoln Children’s Zoo!  Meet alumni, students, faculty and staff from the School of Graduate and Professional Studies in Lincoln.  Special meet and greet with FREE admission, door prizes and other surprises when you register online.
Monday, October 7
5 - 7 p.m.  Non-Traditional Student Week Dinner (GPS Lincoln, Grand Island Campus) The annual Non-Traditional Student Week dinner is designed to celebrate the accomplishments of our students.
7 p.m.   Doane Night at the Isis Movie Theatre (Crete) Grab your friends and family as Crete’s historic Isis Movie Theatre starts the week off right by offering special discounts for all Doane-ites.  The movie is TBD, but the Tiger Pride is sure to be roaring!

5-7 p.m.  Non-Traditional Student Week Dinner (GPS Lincoln, Grand Island Campus)
7 p.m.  Hansen Leadership Assembly Speaker – Shannon O’Neil (Crete Campus, Heckman Auditorium) Shannon O’Neil is a Senior Fellow for Latin America Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations.  She will discuss Mexico’s rapid social, political and economic transformation and how that ties to every aspect of American culture and commerce.  Free to the public.

11:45 a.m. – 1 p.m.  FUSION! Coffeehouse Series (Crete Campus, Common Grounds) Singer-songwriter Ryan LaPerele joins the FUSION! Coffeehouse series as he showcases his work in folk rock, indie and pop music.

5-7 p.m.  Big Birthday Celebration and Speaker (GPS Grand Island Campus) The School of Graduate and Professional Studies in Grand Island is celebrating their 10th anniversary!  Join us for dinner at 5 p.m. and guest speaker, John Beranek, at 6 p.m. John Beranek is a gifted team builder, educator, prevention advocate, and story teller. John currently consults with educators, corporations, government and community coalitions, and “vision makers.” RSVP here by October 3rd.
7:30 p.m.  Theatre Production of “Lend Me a Tenor” (Crete Campus, Whitcomb Lee Observatory) It's the biggest night in the history of the Cleveland Grand Opera Company. The world famous tenor, Tito Merelli, is set to perform his greatest role. Through a series of mishaps, he receives a double dose of tranquilizers, causing the general manager to believe he is dead and setting off a chain reaction of slapstick and mistaken identity. 10 p.m.  Pep Rally and Coronations (Crete Campus, Haddix) Join us for the evening as we kick off the big show and display our Tiger pride.  The Doane Duke and Duchess will be announced and the skits are sure to start your adrenaline pumping for a big weekend!

10 a.m.  Parade (Downtown Crete) Now this is a parade fit for a Tiger!  Route starts at 9th and Main St.  Awards for Best of Doane College, Best of Doane Greek Community, Best of the Community and Best Performance Group! Submit float entries here
10 a.m.  Career Development Employment Panel (GPS Lincoln Campus) Move up in your career!  A panel of human resource professionals and hiring managers will be available to answer your questions.  Interested volunteers for this event should contact susan.rocker@doane.edu.
11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Tiger Tailgate (Crete Campus, Communications Parking Lot) Food trucks…it’s not just for TV competitions anymore. Follow the parade back to campus for lunch from local vendors while kids test out the carnival games, air brush tattoos, bounce houses, and meet our very own Miss Nebraska, Tiger athletes and more.
1 p.m.  Tiger Football vs. Dakota Wesleyan (Crete Campus) Cheer on the Tiger Football team during the Homecoming game.  Enjoy watching the band, dance team and cheerleaders.  The 2013 Honor D winners will be recognized, and the 2013 Homecoming Royalty will be honored. 
1 and 3:15 p.m.  Tiger Soccer at Midland University (Fremont)
7 p.m.  Glow Doane 5K (Crete Campus, Communications Parking Lot) Lighting the path for a brighter future! You can run, walk or skip around campus, but be sure to glow from head to toe! Costume contest, photo booth and t-shirt included. $30 for alumni and friends / $15 for students / $10 for kids 12 and under Fun Run. A portion of the proceeds goes toward the Doane Scholarship Fund.  RSVP before September 27th.  Check in takes place from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. on the day of the race.
