The Office of Student Involvement fosters student learning and success by providing opportunities for engagement through campus activities and student organizations. Purposeful and mutually beneficial partnerships are developed across the Doane College campus and with the City of Crete to maximize access and resources that enrich the Doane College experience. Through intentional advising in an effort to enhance student life, Student Involvement strives to contribute to enrollment growth through recruitment and retention.
The Student Programming Board
The Student Programming Board (SPB) is an extension of the Office of Student Involvement. The SPB sponsors activities on campus every week ranging from comedians, musicians, intramural competitions, fitness challenges and information about safety and mental health.
The SPB is made up of students who meet weekly to oversee, coordinate and facilitate these programs on campus. Student activities, intramural recreation and health & wellness programming are the three main areas of focus for the SPB and members welcome feedback and suggestions from the student body. SPB openings are announced second semester and students are encouraged to apply for these paid positions.
