Leadership in the Residence Halls
Resident Advisors (RA) are a select group of upperclassmen students who have demonstrated an interest in helping their fellow students. Your Resident Advisor lives in the building with you and is there to support you in a number of different ways. They have been trained in everything from programming to crisis management.
RA ON DUTY
Each night, RAs are on duty in the Residence Halls. Sunday - Thursday night, they staff the hall welcome desks 8pm-midnight. Friday and Saturday, they staff the desks from 9pm-1am. RAs will also answer the hall phone throughout the night. RAs will respond to any emergency, complaint, or conduct violation, as well as offering a free lockout service and (in some halls) equipment checkout.

The Doane College Community Council was founded to allow students living in the residence halls to develop leadership skills through service to the residential community. Consisting of representatives from all of the residential halls, Community Council focuses its efforts to help better life on campus. Currently in the works are next year's hall t-shirt designs. We're also planning the return of the Doane Hall Olympics for the 2015 - 2016 academic year. If you're interested in joining Community Council contact Robert Sharp at firstname.lastname@example.org or Megan Failor at email@example.com, or stop by one of our meetings Fridays at 8am in the Diversity Resource Center (Sheldon Classroom).
