Directions Program

Directions is a first year program for high school leaders who would like to continue leading at Doane College. 

Each year, the Director of HLP selects 42 incoming freshmen to join Directions.

What you can do as a DIRECTIONS student:

• Live in Hansen Hall, typically reserved for upper-class students, in suite-style rooms for 9 or 12 people.
• Attend exclusive monthly workshops to develop and strengthen leadership skills.
• Enjoy an upper-class peer mentor who helps teach the ins and outs of leadership involvement at Doane.
• Participate in activities sponsored by HLP.
• Be a part of a special group on the Done College campus!

Directions has allowed me to improve as a leader and a student. I get to live and grow with eleven other girls who have similar interests and integrity. I have also gotten numerous opportunities you can't find in any other group on campus. ~ Jessica Brown (Directions 09/10)
