An advanced examination of the development,yimplementation, and ongoing analysis of corporateystrategy. This course combines the informationyfrom multiple business areas (e.g. accounting,yeconomics, finance, management, and marketing) toyestablish cogent strategic directions foryorganizations. Using a computer simulation,ystudents are exposed to the theoretical constructsyof strategic management and learn how to applyythose constructs in a controlled competitiveyenvironment. Upon successful completion of thisycourse, students will be able to: 1) identify andycomprehend complex, business strategy relatedyissues and problems, 2) collect and use evidenceyto effectively analyze and resolve strategicallyyrelevant issues and problems, 3) develop strategicyinitiatives appropriate for their simulationycompany, 4) create sophisticated strategic plans,yand 5) demonstrate enhanced critical thinking,ycommunication, and teamwork skills.
