Seminar for Beginning Teachers I

A course required of students completing initialycertification for elementary and middle grades,yeducation or special education. Students willyexplore issues for the first-year teacher.yStudents will begin planning for their teachingypositions, developing curriculum and making finalydecisions concerning classroom organization andymanagement. In addition, students will review theytopics of parent conferencing, school law, theyNebraska K-12 content standards, crisisyintervention, and effective teaching ofymainstreamed students. Other current topics inyeducation will be addressed as they relate to theybeginning teacher.
