Rocky Mountain Alumni Scholarship
The Rocky Mountain Alumni Scholarship was established by alumni and friends of Doane College from the Rocky Mountain area to assist students who wish to attend Doane College in pursuit of an outstanding college education.
The scholarship, now in its 24th year, is a one-time $1500 award paid directly to Doane College and credited to the recipient’s account. Strong consideration is given to students who demonstrate high academic performance, possess excellent leadership potential, show strong career promise and are outstanding citizens in their communities.
Applicants for the Rocky Mountain Alumni Scholarship must:
- Apply and be accepted for admission to Doane College. If you have not yet been admitted please submit a transcript and ACT or SAT score with your application.
- Achieve a minimum score of 21 on the ACT or 980 on the SAT and/or a 3.0 GPA.
- Attend an interview session in Denver.
Each applicant will be interviewed by members of our scholarship committee, with the winner being notified the following week. The interviews will be held at First Plymouth Congregational Church at 3501 S. Colorado Blvd, Englewood, CO 80113. It is our hope that parents and siblings will also attend, as members of the college and other alumni will be on hand to visit and answer questions. You will be contacted to confirm your interview time.
APPLICATION CHECK LIST:
- Answer the questions fully and carefully.
- Send the completed application, (along with your school transcript with test scores if not admitted). If you would like to submit a paper application, you can print the PDF version and submit to the address below.
- Submit a letter of recommendation to the Rocky Mountain Scholarship Committee.
The RMAC scholarship application deadline for the 2013/14 academic year has closed. Scholarship deadlines for 2014/15 will be announced at a later date.
