MindExpo Registration Directions
Please complete the online registration form by Friday, March 16, 2012. Make sure that you have a faculty sponsor before submitting the form. By submitting your abstract, you acknowledge that you and your faculty sponsor have reviewed the abstract for content, clarity, spelling, and grammar.
Proposals will be cleared with the faculty sponsor. All accepted abstracts will be published online after March 30th pending approval. Download the Symposium Schedule here:
2012 MindExpo Schedule
We will have five types of sessions:
- Panel Discussion
The poster session allows a student to display a 4'Wx3'H poster of their work. During the poster session (1-4pm), the presenter should be available for 1 hour to engage in conversation about the work. This session type would be appropriate for presenting scholarly work.
The oral session allows a student to give a 12 minute oral presentation of their work, with about three minutes for questions. You may use transparencies on an overhead projector or a Powerpoint slide show, if desired. There will be a limit on the number of oral presentation times available. If demand exceeds supply, some oral presentations will need to become poster presentations.
The performance session will allow students to discuss and demonstrate parts of theater or musical productions.
The exhibition session will give students an opportunity to display artwork. Artists should be available during the session to discuss their work with viewers.
The panel discussion session will include 3-5 students discussing an experience of their learning. For example, students may discuss their internship or travel abroad experience.
Multi-author proposals will be accepted, but there needs to be a lead author who will receive communications concerning the proposal and be responsible for coordinating with the other authors.
All accepted abstracts will be published online.
