Introduces the basic concepts used to describe andymeasure government decision-making as it pertainsyto economics. This course examines the effects ofyfiscal policy on resources, incomes, prices, andyemployment. Students successfully completing thisycourse will be able to: 1) understand theycharacteristics, functions and interactions ofypublic and private institutions; 2) explainyfundamental economic theory and terminology as ityrelates to public finance; 3) apply economicytheory to current policy problems; and 4) analyzeyand apply economic data to the study of a publicypolicy problem.
