Programmer Analyst
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 3-5 years of .NET programming and Microsoft SQL Server experience is required. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services is preferred. The incumbent must have experience defining requirements provided by end users, preparing specifications, writing program code and testing. Working knowledge of Blackboard's Learning Management System and Colleague by Ellucian, is a plus.
Must be self-motivated, proactive, team oriented and have solid interpersonal and collaboration skills. Must demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. Highly organized and possess excellent analytical skills to develop technical solutions to business problems.
Programmer Analyst
Doane College a nationally recognized private liberal arts college in the Midwest, seeks a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our IT Department as a Programmer Analyst to support Enterprise Information Systems for the institution. The incumbent will support core academic, and administrative information systems by maintaining and enhancing vendor-supplied software and developing and improving applications and reports. As a member of the Administrative Computing Team, the Programmer Analyst reports to the Director of Administrative Systems and works closely with College faculty and staff to assess needs, evaluate options, and implement solutions to support daily operations and the strategic initiatives of the College.
The successful candidate will support the data and reporting needs of a wide range of academic and administrative departments, including Academic Affairs, Admissions, Advancement, Finance, Financial Aid, Human Resources, Registrar, and Student Services.
Responsibilities Include:
Duties may include but not be limited to: administration and maintenance of college’s enterprise information systems, managing user security and access, reviewing and testing software updates and patches, systems integration, implementing new features, programming customizations when approved, writing reports, queries and interfaces, troubleshooting and creating solutions for end-users, developing procedures to solve complex problems, training, documenting code and procedures, and complying with established standards.
