Pre-Med Advisory Committee
Preparing for medical school is an interdisciplinary activity. Students need strong preparation in the sciences, excellent communication skills, and a demonstrated interest in service. Pulling together all the pieces required for success in medical school requires advice and expertise from many sources. In addition to an academic advisor, students participating in the pre-med program will meet regularly with an interdisciplinary group of faculty to help plan coursework, find shadowing and internship experiences, develop skills for taking the MCAT, and find information on the best professional programs for each student.
The Doane Pre-med Advisory Committee is composed of:
Kate Marley, Associate Professor of Biology, Chair
Barbara Clement, Professor of Biology
David Clevette, Professor of Chemistry
Chris Wentworth, Professor of Physics
Erin Wilson, Assistant Professor of Chemistry
