A course examining theories, principles, andycharacteristics of human development fromyconception to young adulthood. Upon successfulycompletion of the course, students will have anyunderstanding of the study of the teaching andylearning processes and the implications foryplanning educational experiences in terms ofybehavioral and cognitive psychological principles.yStudents will also investigate intelligenceytheories and their application to lesson designyand presentation, classroom management,ymulticulturalism and national and state K-12ycontent standards. The course includes clinicalyfield experiences in elementary, middle, andysecondary schools. Prerequisite: Education 211
