William Jewell Nips Doane in Overtime

Doane's men's soccer team took a strong William Jewell squad to overtime before falling in the 100th minute of play, 1-0.

William Jewell, receiving votes in the NAIA poll, picked up the only goal of the game with 47 seconds remaining in the first overtime as Brett Lewis received a pass from Justin Beck.

Chris Kavinsky collected six saves for the Tigers.  Statistics show the Cardinals out-shooting the Tigers 13-2.

Doane falls to 1-4 on the year heading into conference play against Midland Lutheran College.  All of the Tigers losses have come to teams either ranked or receiving votes in the NAIA ratings.
