The Tiger women's soccer team played one of their better games of the year but unfortunately came out on the short end against GPAC front runner Dakota Wesleyan University, 1-0. DWU picked up their only goal with 17 minutes remaining in the contest and were able to hold on for the win.
For most of the game, Doane out-played the unbeaten Tigers of DWU but for a 30 second stretch in which Doane was unable to clear the ball out of the goal box, and DWU was able to get a goal on their third opportunity after the previous two shots were blocked.
Doane goalkeeper Jordan Ludwig finished with seven saves in the game while her counterpart Danielle Richardson finished with eight. Doane out-shot Dakota Wesleyan 20-15 for the game and each team finished with eight shots on goal.
