The Doane women's soccer team picked up their sixth win in the conference and moved into fifth place with a 5-1 victory over Mount Marty College on Saturday afternoon in Yankton, S.D. The Tigers have one conference game remaining.
Doane jumped on the board in the 13th minute when Clare Koeppe scored for the Tigers and Samantha Exstrom picked up the assists.
Exstrom scored the next two goals for the Tigers, giving Doane a 3-0 lead. Exstrom's first goal was unassisted and her second goal came off a pass from Mary Kinney.
Mount Marty picked up their lone goal in the 42nd minute of the first half as Lauren Donlin was able to get a shot past Doane keeper Jordan Ludwig.
In the second half, Kelsie Grgurich scored in the 60th minute off a pass from Sarah Medina. Emma Kucera scored the final goal of the game in the 74th minute as Kayleen Stanek picked up the assists.
Doane out-shot Mount Marty 21-3 in shots on goal for the game. Ludwig finished with two saves and Lancer goalkeeper Maggie Gall finished with 16.
Doane will be at College of St. Mary on October 27 before closing out the regular season against Northwestern College on October 31.
