Tigers Take Seventh at Lucian Rosa Invite
Doane's women's cross country team was able to make a statement on Saturday morning in Wisconsin with a strong showing at the Lucian Rosa Invite. The Tigers placed seventh out of 31 teams and topped six teams either ranked or receiving votes ahead of them in the NAIA poll.
The Tigers were led by Clare Hoarty's 21st place finish as she ran a time of 19:08. The race consisted of 316 runners. Tiffany Bence ran a time of 19:23 and finished 31st overall. Viviana Arreola was 33rd overall with a time of 19:29.
Yadira Salazar finished 67th overall with a time of 20:05. Alex Conrin ran a time of 20:22 and placed 85th. Marysol Cazares notched a time of 21:21 and placed 158th while Aprill Bodlak finished 217th with a time of 22:21.
The Tigers will travel to Hastings for the Hastings Fall Invite on October 18. Hastings is the site for the GPAC Championship that will be held in November.
