Doane, ranked #15 in the NAIA, picked up a win on the road in volleyball action on Tuesday evening in Seward, topping the Concordia Bulldogs in three games. Game scores were 25-18, 25-17 and 25-12. The win improved the Tigers to 13-4 overall and 4-1 in the GPAC.
The Tigers struggled in the first two games, trailing midway through each. Doane turned the momentum in game two while trailing 11-8. The Tigers went on a 10-0 run to take an 18-11 lead and cruised to the victory. In game three, Doane opened up a 12-3 lead to start and continued to pull away until the final point.
Doane posted a .337 attack percentage as Ashley Axmann and Emily Max posted 12 kills apiece. Terra Andreasen added nine kills for the Tigers.
Heather Davison led the team with 42 set assists while adding one ace serve and one kill. Amy Kreikemeier, Ali Janky and Desiree Erikson also added ace serves.
Nicole Skolnick led the back row defense with 16 digs. Nikki Degenhardt and Andreasen added seven apiece. At the net, Andreasen posted three total blocks while Max was joined by Lisa Lord and Susan Rollman with two apiece.
