Tigers Set for NAIA Championships

Doane College track and field athletes headed out to Geneva, Ohio, Tuesday morning to participate in the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Meet. Seventeen male and 17 female athletes, 34 total, will compete at the meet held March 3-5.

The Doane track programs are led by Ed Fye. Doane's men are coming off their fifth straight indoor crown while the women won for the 20th time in 21 years at the GPAC Championships held on February 19. Fye was named the GPAC Men's Coach-of-the-Year while BJ Lawrence earned Male Outstanding Performance-of-the-Meet honors after winning the 60m and 200m dashes. Jillian Ourada was named the Women's Athlete-of-the-Year after posting 28.5 points in the championship meet.
