Tigers Sending 38 to Nationals

- Doane College track and field athletes headed out to Marion, Indiana, Monday morning to participate in the NAIA

Outdoor Track & Field National Meet. Twenty-two male and 16 female athletes, 38 total, will compete at the meet held May 24-26. The Doane track programs are led by Ed Fye.
Doane's men are coming off their fifth straight outdoor crown while the women took runner-up honors in the GPAC Championships held on May 5. Fye was named the GPAC Men's Coach-of-the-Year while Edwin Ronoh earned GPAC Male Athlete-of-the-Year. BJ Lawrence returns to defend his crown in the 200m dash where he enters with the second best time on the season. He leads the NAIA in the 100m dash with a time of 10.12.
Last year, the Doane men finished 2nd at the outdoor championships to Shorter College while the Tiger women placed 29th.
