Tigers Participate at Grand View Classic

The Tiger track and field teams had their final meet leading up to the GPAC Championships by participating in the Grand View Viking Classic in Des Moines, Iowa. Tiger athletes finished with five automatic marks and nine provisional marks.

Jillian Ourada posted an automatic mark as she took second in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.54.

Blair Dixon won the 100m dash with a time of 12.51. Allison Hartnett claimed the 400m title with a time of 59.55.

Ourada tied for first place in the high jump with Alyssa McDowell and Jessica Steinkamp with a height of 5-01.75 (1.57m).

Ale Cano won the pole vault with an automatic mark of 11-09.75 (3.60m) while Leah Peterson posted a provisional mark of 11-05.75 (3.50m).

Emily Reed won the long jump with a mark of 17-01.50 (5.22m). Shelby Meier posted a provisional mark in the triple jump with a winning leap of 37-03.25 (11.36m). Rae Gordon also had a provisional mark of 37-01.25 (11.31m).

Ashton Henderson posted a provisional mark in the discus as she won with a throw of 139-06 (42.52). Henderson won the javelin with a throw of 124-04 (37.92m).

Whitney Collins hit provisional marks in the hammer (155-09, 47.49m) and shot put (43-11.50, 13.40m).

On the men's side, Sam Houch and Adam Baxa won the 100m dash as they tied with a time of 11.22.

Edwin Ronoh won the 800m run with a time of 4:01.50.

The Tiger 4x400m relay team won with a time of 3:25.48.

Nate Teten claimed the pole vault with a mark of 14-05.25 (4.40m). Brian Hubbert won the long jump with a mark of 21-08.25 (6.61m). Hubbert hit an automatic mark in the triple jump with a winning leap of 47-00.50 (14.34m).

Tigers dominated the discus, taking the top five spots. Zack Lindsley won with an automatic NAIA mark of 159-01 (48.50m). Vince Krejci had an automatic mark of 158-01 (48.20m). Darin Smith posted a provisional mark of 155-05 (47.37m). Alvin Voss added a provisional mark of 153-00 (46.64m).

Jacob Clouse won the hammer throw with a toss of 170-09 (52.05m), a provisional mark. Micah Marvin won the javelin with a throw of 168-08 (51.42m).
