Tigers Fall in Nail-biter

Doane's men's soccer team played their best games of the season according to Head Coach Greg Jarosik, unfortunately the were on the wrong end of the scoring column against McPherson College.  The Bulldogs came away victorious 2-1.  McPherson scored the first goal of the game in the 18th minute off the leg of Deno Bell.  Bell's goal was the only scoring in the first half.

In the second half, Monday Akogwu tied the game for Doane in the 65th minute.  Jordan Dahlinger picked up the assists.  The two team's battled back and forth until the 88th minute when Armando Rodriguez was able to find enough space to score the winning goal for McPherson.  Bell picked up an assist on the play.

The loss dropped the Tigers to 1-2 on the season.  Doane posted nine shots on goal compared to the Bulldogs' seven.  Chris Kavinsky had five saves for Doane.
