The Tiger women's soccer team saw their season come to a close on Tuesday with a loss in the First Round of the GPAC Tournament to Dordt College. The Defenders, who lost to the Tigers 10 days earlier, won 3-0 to advance in the conference tournament.
Dordt scored twice in the first half, both coming in a three minute stretch. Noelle Kreykes scored the first goal while Elise Wedel followed up with the next goal. Dordt received a second goal from Kreykes in the early stages of the second half to close out the scoring.
Dordt out-shot the Tigers, 15-13, with shots on goal in favor of the Defenders, 8-7. Kelsey Stark had five saves for the Tigers while Katie Kortmann finished with seven for Dordt.
Doane ends the season with a 9-7-1 record.
