Richards, Grgurich Team Up to Stop Mustangs

The women's soccer team picked up another road victory, shutting out Morningside College, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon in Sioux City. The Tigers improved to 4-4 in the GPAC with three conference games remaining.

Doane led 2-0 at halftime as Kelsie Grgurich and Courtney Richards teamed up for the two goals. Grgurich scored the first goal of the game in the 25th off a pass from Richards. The duo hooked up again in the 44th minute as Richards scored off a pass from Grgurich.

In the second half, Richards scored the final goal of the game in the 65th minute off a pass from Grgurich.

Kelsey Stark picked up the shutout in goal, saving one shot on goal.

Doane out-shot the Mustangs 15-3 in the game, 9-1 in shots on goal.
