NonTraditional Student Week: Nov. 5 - 9
This year, Doane College is celebrating 30 years in Lincoln and nine years in Grand Island serving adult learners. National Nontraditional Student Week is a great time to recognize the incredible commitment of adult students to continue their education.
Founded by the Association for Non-Traditional Students in Higher Education (ANTSHE), National Nontraditional Student Week is an annual nationwide week of appreciation at colleges and universities across the country.
Doane started its programs for the unique needs of adult learners back in 1981. Today, you can still talk to anyone in our programs and hear a common message: our students come first. You’ll see this is true in the personal attention and advising, the convenient class schedules, and the professors who respect your learning style and your active life. Most importantly, you’ll see that we care about bringing your experiences into the classroom to enrich learning.
Education can be challenging enough with juggling work, family and other obligations. That’s why Doane is proud of our adult programs and our unique support of our students. These are the things that make Doane’s programs recognized and respected. And why our students recommend Doane to others.
