Munter Earns GPAC Honor

(GPAC Release) - The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following women's basketball player-of-the-week for November 23 -November 29, 2009.  Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2009-2010 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Vanessa Munter, Forward - Doane
Doane forward Vanessa Munter is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Basketball Player-of-the-Week.  Munter, a senior from Hickman, Nebraska, averaged 18 points and 8.7 rebounds per game as the Tigers went 3-0 on the week.  Against GPAC-foe Dana College, Munter posted a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.  In a 75-65 win over No. 13 Sterling College, she scored 27 points while shooting 11-16 from the floor.  In the Tigers win over Tabor College, she scored 15 points and dished out three assists.  Doane is now 5-4 on the season.
