Midland Hands Doane First Conference Loss
Midland Lutheran College rallied from a 12 point deficit in the second half to come from behind for a 74-68 victory over Doane in Fremont on Tuesday evening.
With Doane up 51-39, Midland finished the final 13:57 by out-scoring the Tigers 35-17.
For the game, Doane shot 54 percent from the floor compared to 46 percent for MLC. However, MLC shot 23 free throws, converting 19 while Doane went 6-11 from the charity stripe.
Taylor Siebert paced the Tigers with 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the floor. He converted five of his seven three-point attempts. Dane Cruz added 17 points and Brent Cole picked up 13. Jack Lind had a game-high seven rebounds while Cole picked up a game-high six assists.
Doane will be in action again on December 1 when they face Iowa Wesleyan University.
