Doane receives national merit award for Admission Viewbook

Article Body: Doane College received a Merit Award in the 24th-annual Admissions Advertising Awards for its undergraduate Admission Viewbook. This is the first year Doane has participated.

The Admissions Advertising Awards - sponsored by the Admissions Marketing Report - is the largest educational advertising awards competition in the country. More than 2,000 entries were received from more than 1,000 colleges, universities and secondary schools from all 50 states and several foreign countries. A national panel of admissions marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals, and the editorial board of the Admissions Marketing Report served as judges for the competition.

The Admission Viewbook was designed and written in-house by Doane's Marketing and Communications Office. Doane competed against colleges and universities of similar total enrollment, whose materials were created internally or by professional advertising agencies.
