The Doane College Marketing Communications Office earned the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) district's first-place "Sweepstakes Winner" honor for the third consecutive year. This award is given to the college with the most awards in the enrollment category of 3,000 - 5,000 students, with additional points awarded for entries produced in-house.
Doane received 9 awards during the annual conference Jan 10-12 in St. Louis, Mo. The awards were as follows:
Gold Award - Small Book, Big Pride (Excellence in Graphic Design-Single Brochure-4 or more colors)
Gold Award - Plastic Bags Impact Radio Ad (Excellence in writing- radio or video script)
Silver Award - Music Impact Radio Ad (Excellence in Advertising)
Silver Award - DoaneFest (Excellence in Institutional Relations- Institutional Branding Campaign)
Silver Award - Impact Television Ad (Excellence in Advertising)
Silver Award - "Lost & Found" (Excellence in Graphic Design - Editorial Design)
Bronze Award - "Lost & Found" Spring 2009 Doane Magazine (Excellence in Writing - Feature Story)
Bronze Award - Spring 2009 Doane Magazine (Excellence in Communications-Periodicals-4 or more colors)
Bronze Award - "Doane Opens Student-Staff Writing Center " (Excellence in Writing-Web)
CASE is the largest international association of education institutions, serving more than 3,000 universities, colleges, schools and related organizations in 45 countries.
Entries are critiqued by judges outside of the submitting CASE region. All award levels are not given in each category.
All publications were produced in-house, except editing for the IMPACT TV ad, which was provided by Time Warner Cable and recording of the radio commercial by Three Eagles Communications.
